Health and safety are not only among our core values but also an integral part of the management system within the Group, present at every level of our organization.
The Group has implemented and operates an Integrated Management System, with all standards, protocols, and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety based on Polish laws and/or local regulations, depending on the operational location, as well as the provisions of the PN-ISO 45001 standard.
Furthermore, Amica S.A. has established and operates a Health and Safety Committee that serves an advisory and consultative role.
The Amica Group has taken steps to facilitate access to information for users of household appliances and to support them in using their products. As a result, the Customer Service department's operating hours in Poland have been extended. Furthermore, Amica has launched an online store for product and home accessories. The company offers fully secure payment options, complete manufacturer warranty, and delivery of products within 24 hours. Additionally, to better meet consumer needs, Amica has decided to extend the return period for purchases to 30 days, up from the standard 14 days.
Amica has introduced simplified instructions for all heating appliances. Each instruction is written in a more accessible language and includes a QR code, which, when scanned, directs users to the product's website. These changes aim to enhance the customer experience with the product, improve user safety through clearer guidance, and promote environmental sustainability by reducing the amount of paper used in the printing process.
As part of its support for working parents at Amica and to provide them with the means to balance their personal and professional lives, the Company operates an on-site Nursery and Kindergarten named Amica KIDS. The facility comprises six kindergarten departments and two nursery groups. Monthly costs are determined by parental income and are eligible for reimbursement from the Company’s Social Benefits Fund. For the past ten years, the institution has been operating under the principles of Maria Montessori, emphasizing independence and the joy of learning. The goal of the kindergarten is to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can develop their talents and explore the world around them.
The history of the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) Amica dates back to 1947, when a group emerged from a workforce of 111 individuals, dedicated to the altruistic fight against fires and the elimination of hazards. After six years, the unit was registered with the Association of Volunteer Fire Departments, enabling the firefighters to expand their activities beyond the factory premises and collaborate with other units in nearby locations. This practice continues to this day. Currently, OSP Amica consists of 38 active members (in addition to supportive and honorary members) – 27 men and 11 women. These volunteers are employees of the Amica Group who dedicate their time and efforts to this noble cause.
In consideration of the health and well-being of its employees, Amica Group has implemented a health protection program called AmiCare – Health and Relaxation Zone. The company aims to ensure that employees work in a healthy and safe environment. In addition to providing medical examinations for employees, an AmiCare – Health and Relaxation Zone section is available on the internal Intranet network. The content in this section supports employees in enhancing their awareness of physical and mental health while also assisting them in effectively developing healthy habits.
In 2023, the Amica Group conducted complimentary comprehensive medical examinations for its employees, including cardiological, mammographic, cytological, PSA tests, screenings for hidden blood, a variety of blood test panels, and numerous ultrasound examinations. In total, 13 types of tests were performed, with 2,123 employees participating.
An important component of our ESG strategy is the development of mental health support. Amica provides employees with comprehensive and free psychological care. All interested employees can access consultations with professionals from various fields, both in-person and online, along with additional assistance in crisis situations. Our booking and billing system ensures complete anonymity for employees. In 2023, the program facilitated a total of 960 consultations.
Additionally, the company organizes free psychoeducational workshops for parents and children aged 6 to 15. The objective of these meetings is to enhance mental well-being, promote personal development, and foster family integration.

In 2023, employees of the Amica Group dedicated nearly 40,000 hours to training. Additionally, a total of 2,250 periodic employee evaluations and development discussions were conducted.
The Amica Group has been actively engaged for years in initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and teamwork. In September 2023, the first edition of the Amica Sports Challenge was organized. This challenge was open to all employees of the Amica Group, not only in Poland but also in international branches.
During the month-long challenge, employees who expressed their interest in participating recorded their physical activities using a dedicated sports application. They could choose from three disciplines: cycling, running, and walking. For each kilometer completed, the Amica Group donated a corresponding amount of money to charitable causes. Over 400 participants took part in the initiative, allowing the company to raise 75,000 PLN, which was donated to charity.
The ambition of the Amica Group is to leave a lasting and positive impact primarily in the areas where the Group conducts its manufacturing, operational, and commercial activities. Furthermore, the Group is committed to participating in national and European-level campaigns.
The Amica Group is the sponsor of the Amica Volleyball Academy, the second largest academy of its kind in Poland. The project encompasses a three-year training cycle involving students from four grades—children in the second to fifth grades of primary schools in the Greater Poland region. The initiative aims to develop sports talent, promote sports, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The Amica Group covers the training costs as well as provides essential sports equipment, coach supplies, and jerseys for the students. The UKS Szamotulanin and the Sport Academy in Wronki oversee the training program. The local governments of Szamotuły, Wronki, and Rokietnica ensure free access to sports facilities. In the 2023/2024 school year, the Amica Volleyball Academy welcomed 216 boys and girls from primary schools in Szamotuły, Wronki, Rokietnica, and Oborniki.
The Amica Capital Group is the primary sponsor of the Amicis Foundation, one of the largest organizations in Greater Poland that supports the poor and those in need. The Foundation was established in 2005 in Wronki, with the goal of providing assistance to those who need it most.
In the social sector (social programs, Amicis Foundation), the Amica Group has initiated the development of a tool for managing donations processed by both the Amicis Foundation and Amica S.A. The aim is to ensure a coherent and fully transparent donation transfer process.
The Amicis Foundation supports kindergartens, schools, social care facilities, and hospitals, particularly in small towns. It allocates financial resources for various projects and provides donations in the form of Amica household appliances. Additionally, the Foundation assists individuals who have been adversely affected by circumstances and are in need. The organization is comprised of a group of women who work in a voluntary capacity. From the very beginning, the Amica Group has been a key sponsor of the Foundation, and its employees, together with firefighters from the Amica Volunteer Fire Brigade, actively support the women in their community initiatives.
All individuals involved in the Foundation's activities work on a voluntary basis and do not receive compensation for their efforts. Almost 100% of the resources at the Foundation's disposal are directed towards social needs.

In September 2023, employees of the Amica Group actively participated in the initiative "Wspólnie POZmieniajmy" aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of Poznań. Together with other volunteers, they planted 13,000 crocuses, trees, and shrubs, and constructed a retention basin as well as an educational garden for children.
The "Wspólnie POZmieniajmy" initiative was unique in nature, bringing together the efforts of Poznań-based companies, non-governmental organizations, and the City of Poznań. The event was conducted under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak.
The Amica Group, in collaboration with the SOS Food Bank in Warsaw, the Santander Bank Polska Foundation, and partners from the household appliances sector, is committed to the educational project "Fridge for a Medal." The aim of this initiative is to combat food waste and promote proper food storage practices. A key focus of this project is to reach individuals of all ages who may be unaware of the scale of this issue. Through the use of specially designed magnetic boards, workshops are conducted in schools where children learn how to store food to maintain its freshness.
With the launch of the project, an online game has been inaugurated, featuring a tutorial on preventing food waste. This online game combines fun and education, while also providing added value as a wonderful activity for families to enjoy time together.
Jobs of the future: cooperation with schools
The Amica Group has taken a patronage role over the vocational first-degree class in the professions of locksmith and CNC machine operator at Zespół Szkół Nr 2 im. St. Konarskiego in Wronki. This initiative aims to adequately prepare students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for their future careers.
The company has implemented additional extracurricular classes conducted by its specialist engineers, where students learn technical drawing, fundamental materials science, and programming. As part of this collaboration, Amica has also equipped the school's computer lab and actively participates in events organized by the school, supporting and observing students' progress.
Over the course of three years, students who achieve a specific average grade level are awarded academic scholarships by Amica at the end of each semester. Furthermore, some students gain practical vocational training at Amica. Throughout these three years, the youth not only acquire knowledge but also gain practical experience and qualifications in their respective fields. Upon completion of their education, the best students receive job offers from Amica.
